Event Registry + n8n Integration Guide

This guide introduces several comprehensive implementation ideas for integrating Event Registry API with n8n workflows. Each implementation is detailed in its own tab below for easy navigation.

Prerequisites

  • Have self hosted n8n or n8n cloud account
  • Event Registry API key (obtain from your dashboard page)

Setting Up Event Registry API Credentials

Before using Event Registry API in your n8n workflows, you need to configure authentication credentials. This setup is required for all HTTP Request nodes that call Event Registry endpoints.

  1. In n8n, navigate to Credentials → Add credential
  2. Select Custom Auth from the credential types
  3. Name it Event Registry API
  4. In the Custom Auth JSON editor, enter:
  5. Replace YOUR_API_KEY_HERE with your actual API key from your dashboard
  6. Save the credential

Note: When configuring HTTP Request nodes in the workflows below, set Authentication to Generic Credential Type, then select Custom Auth and choose your Event Registry API credential.
