# Suggest event types

Retrieve the event type URI for a given event type label/prefix.

Use this API endpoint to map the event type label into the event type URI that can be used when specifying the `eventTypeUri` filter when querying mentions. The provided label can also be a partial name. The returned value will contain an array of event types that match the input label.

**Endpoint:** GET | POST `https://eventregistry.org/api/v1/eventType/suggestEventTypes`

**Headers:** Content-Type: application/json

#### `prefix`

string

Partial or full name of the event type.
